Insulated Red Alloy Wire, also known as Insulated wire is a wire that has similar functions as those of red alloy wires. The main advantage of insulated wires is that they are very precise. Unlike red alloy wires, insulated wires won't throw signals everywhere. They can also connect to bundled cables.

Mechanics
- See also: Flat wire mechanics and Bundled Cable mechanics
Insulated wires are a special type of red alloy wire. Although they transmit signals in much the same manner, insulated wires will not power the block it is sitting on. It also will not be effected if their support block is strongly powered.
Insulated wires will also connect to bundled cables. Signals will be transferred to other matching colors connected to that cable.

Insulated wires will freely connect to red alloy wires or bundled cables. They can only connect to other insulated wires if they are of the same color.
Insulated wires must connect directly to a device to power it. It will not weakly power its neighbors like red alloy wires would.
Insulated wires won't receive power if their support block is strongly powered like red alloy wires would.
